Dear JoAnn and family,
We will miss Hal so much. This summers retreat with the English scouts will be fun as usual but Hal's sense of humor and laughter will be sadly missed.
God Bless all of you.

I'm so sorry to hear for Dr. B's passing.   I have such great memories of my time in his Explorer post...way back when.   He always travelled with his tape recorder and managed to capture everything about our trips!   I am afraid to say I didn't keep in touch over the last decade, but thought of him often, especially as my son has been working his way through boy scouts.
Best wishes to Jamie, Hal, and Mrs. B and the rest of their family.

What can I say about Dr. B?  He was like a 2nd father or favorite uncle.  We first met, when I attended a Medical Explorer Post 901 meeting, while I was a sophomore at (the former) West Mid-High School.  He was directly responsible for starting my life as a medical professional almost 25 years ago.  I did not attend medical school as he suggested.  I chose a career in Cardiac Ultrasound with degrees from OU Health Sciences Center.  I have been extremely happy with my decision, and I still thank him for getting me started at Norman "Municipal" Hospital as a CCU heart monitor tech.  I'm honored to be a part of his legacy in the medical field.
Dr. B., again Thank You.  You will be missed.

Dr. B,
You are one of my fondest memories of my time at The Norman Clinic.  You were one of the happy things I thought of each morning when I went to work.  You and your nurse (Dr Vicki) were always kind and supportive.  Having recently lost the most important person in my life, I will remember to keep your wife and family and Vicki in my thoughts and prayers.  You are in a perfect place and I hope your memories and achievements comfort each of them until you are all together again!

To the family of Dr. Belknap, my heart and prayers go out to you all. I had the pleasure of working with him, if only for a short time. He would come over and do his treadmills at the Healthplex and he would always have a smile, even with the pen in his teeth. He truly was a good man and I feel blessed to have crossed his path. May God continue to bless and keep you all.

We only knew Dr B for a short 4 years since we moved to Oklahoma and he agreed to be our doctor. But in that short period we came to love and respect him. He was one of a kind and we will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

We are honored that he gave our son such a positive role model through Scouting.  We are honored that he and his faithful sidekick Vicki took so much interest in our good health.  We are honored to have known the warm and dignified gentleman we fondly refer to as Doc B.  Sincere condolences to the family he loved so much.  He will remain in our hearts.

Dr. B will be greatly missed.  I was a member of Medical Post 901 and my brother was a boy scout from 777 (Joshua Morris)  Now, becaue of the values taught and great fun had by all (777 is the friendliest and most family oriented scout group ever!)I now have an 11 year old boy who has just crossed over from cub scouts to Boy Scouts and is in Troop 434 in Duncan, Oklahoma.  JoAnn, my prayers are with you and your family. If you ever need anything I am but a phone call away.

Hal was a wonderful person to grow up and attend school with. He wore Number 71 on his highschool football jersey. He
was the best.

Doc B,  I only learned of your passing today. You will be so missed by so many.  I have had the honor and pleasure of knowing you and your family for 20 years.  I have traveled with you, camped with you, and been your patient.  I consider you a dear freind and will miss you greatly.  You have touched so many lives in such a positive way, you may never even know just how far reaching your love and encouragement has spread in making this world a better place.  I only hope I can touch a fraction of people in the same manner.  You have taught me to be a better person.  You and Mrs. B have always been there and I will continue to be there for others.  I will have a fond place in my heart for you forever.  Love always. With deepest sympathy: Kyle, Julie, Luke and Jenna

JoAnn, greatness was truly among us in the person of your beloved Hal.  He touched so many people in so many different areas of his life.  I have asked why didn't God make us all like that - I'm still waiting for the answer.  Who can forget his hearty laugh, keen wit - and those knickers!  We all miss him, though I know you miss him the most.  What a great companion he must have been to you.
