About 1968 I met T. Roy when I went to work
for the C. P. A. firm of which he was one of the partners. He greeted me as a
smiling friendly person, well dressed and impressive. He kept up with the times
and installed one of the first computers in the vicinity for their work. I don't
think enough people realize just how impressive his computer skills were at a
time when most business people were hesitant to commit to such a formidable
task, those big machines, thousands of cards, etc. He had an assistant, Janice
McCalip, a lovely girl who became a friend of mine. Together, they made a great
team, accomplishing a lot with those big bulky machines which computers were at
that time. T. Roy dictated letters which I took down in shorthand and typed and
treated me well. When the partnership dissolved and I left, we kept contact as
My husband Joe and I came back each year to get our taxes done and on through
the years up until this year. Each time we would look forward to our little
visit and chat a bit about old times. He will be greatly missed, but now is in
a happier place than we. I'm looking forward to seeing him there. Nancy A.
