I was sad to learn of Janet's passing. My
condolences go to her family.
While I haven't seen Janet since the early 1990's, I do have fond memories of
her. She offered me my first job in "Personnel Servies" at OU. I was a student
looking for a job and she found my application. She took a chance on me and I'm
happy to say, 16 years later I am still working in Human Resources (in
California now!) I can honestly say that if she didn't hire me back in 1991, who
knows what path my career would have taken. I am thankful to her for that.

her survivors. We enjoyed visits by Janet and Jon Spurgeon when they traveled
to the West Coast in years past.
