My sincere and heartfelt condolences. Elena was an inspiration and she markedly
influenced both my career and life. I was priveleged to be one of the writers
of the School Health Education Study. The experience was highlighted by having
the opportunity to work with Elena. No experience has ever equaled that period
of my health education career. She was such a profound and consumate
professional and I learned so much from her. I will truly miss her. May her
