I was a friend of Larry Edmison for over 20
years. I first met him when attending the Oklahoma Pollution Control
Coordinating Board meetings. We worked together on many water issues over the
years. We may not have seen eye to eye on all the issues, but we were able to
talk with each other and express our opinions. Even as lately as two weeks ago
we discussed some of the issues that will be in the Statewide Water Plan. My
memories of Larry will always be of a great person that had strong convictions
of what he believed. Mason Mungle

My condolences to Lu and family. There is no
question that Oklahoma's environmental quality greatly benefited from Larry's
tireless efforts to preserve and protect it. His heart was in the right place.
I worked under Larry at the Water Resources Board 40 years ago, then again at
the Corporation Commission. His friendship through the years has meant a lot to
me and my family.

We first met Larry when our sons were in Boy
Scouts together. He was a outstanding leader working with the scouts and lead
them on a backpacking expedition to Philmont Scout Ranch. Our sons have
continued to be very good friends through the years -- both serving as best man
at each other's wedding. Larry's dedication to those passions he believed in
have certainly made a difference in our world. We consider ourselves fortunate
to have known him and know that our world will be diminished with his loss.

I wish to send my best regards to Lu and all
of Larry's family.
Larry and I met a few years ago; we were working some municipal issues. Since
that time we worked together or discussed many projects and issues. He latter
volunteered on my personal campaign and was of invaluable help but equally
importantly we had fun working it. He and I had understood each other well. I
guess one reason is we shared a love a trains as well as of animals.
Sometimes, as friends do, we just called each other to blow off steam, always
ending up with a good laugh. I got to see one of his garden train open houses.
He was having so much fun sharing his passion for trains. I am so glad I made
the most recent New Years Day celebration with Larry and Lu it was a great time.
Larry was a pistol. He was never shy to tell you what he thought and I find that
refreshing in a person. His passion for better government irritated some but it
helped all of us to be better public servants.
I will miss him greatly.

Larry and I served as leaders for
many years of Boy Scout Troop 146 in OKC. It is one thing to observe and
interact with a person in a controlled setting with a set time duration. It is
quite another level of relationship to be with a person 24 hours a day at
weekend and week long camps.
Larry is a champion person and will always hold a special place in my memories.
Perhaps he is playing his invention, "Ellipse," as I type.

Dear Lu and family, I am so very sorry for
your sudden loss. Larry had a distinguished career protecting the world around
him, and shared his dear wife's passion for animal welfare. His was a life his
wife, children and family can proudly and lovingly remember, because he made a
real difference to the world we all live in. My heart goes out to all of you in
this time of sorrow, and God bless you.

I wish to send my deepest sympathies to Lu, Sean, Shaye and the entire Edmison
family during this most heartbreaking time. I am glad to have known Larry
growing up as Sean's very inventive, smart and outgoing father, and a generous
and good-natured soul. I am thankful to have seen him a few years ago at Sean's
wedding, and I know he was very proud of his children. I am so sorry that I
cannot be there at this time. On behalf of the Nasr family, I wish you all God's
comfort, and may his memory be eternal always.

I was shocked to see Larry's
obituary, but it brought back many memories. First, I was surprised that even
with the facial hair I recognized him immediatly after nearly 50 years. I
cannot remember first meeting Larry, but it was probably when we were 6 or 7
years old. We attended grade school together, but I moved from Stillwater to
Ponca City when we were 13, and I think that was our last contact. We were good
friends during those early years. We lived about a block apart, were in the same
grade, and saw each other frequently. I remember him as one of my more
intellectual friends. While I might play football or baseball with others,
Larry and I talked about ideas. I specfically remember him correcting me when I
referred to a "reasonable fact simile" of something. We bought Army surplus
gear, made guns of scrap wood, and fought WWII battles many times. If I
remember correctly, his father was the Professor of Military Science at OSU, so
Larry had an advantage.
It is unfortunate that our paths never crossed again. We both became lawyers,
and I am sure we could have picked up the debates where we left them, although
hopefully on a somewhat higher level. I can see from comments made by others
that he and I would have disagreed on some political matters, but we would have
shared many values and concerns.
My condolences to his family, and my admiration to his parents. They obviously
did a great job.

All of us are poorer for Larry's passing, but
we are richer for his having been amongst us. I liked and respected Larry and
his intelligence, compassion and energy for those ideals he believed in. He
will be greatly missed.

Larry was awesome. I met Larry after he took
over my old job at the OCC as Water Quality Director. His heart was in the
right place when it came to protecting the environment. I considered him a
friend and compadre in the fight to protect our natural resources.
Will miss you Larry.

During my tenure on the City Council Larry
often came forward with critiques and comments about City issues. We didn't
often agree on the issues, but Larry was always a gentleman. He will be missed.
