Grady C. Padgett
March 6, 1953 - December 10, 2012
Padgett, Jr., Grady C., 59, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born March 6, 1953 in Griffin, Georgia to Grady and Betty (Hancock) Padgett, Sr. He was united in marriage on June 21, 1970 in Griffin, Georgia to Cynthia Wynona Goodman.

Grady served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an Air Traffic Controller for FAA retiring in 2005 after 33 years of service. After retirement, Grady taught Air Traffic Control at Will Rogers until August of this year. During his employment with FAA he was a union representative, past president and mediator. He enjoyed computer video games, fishing, hunting, vegetable gardening and watching the Atlanta Falcons.

Grady is survived by his wife, Cynthia Padgett of the home; son, William “Billy” Brown of OKC; daughters, Christy Smith of Griffin, GA and Cindy Ann Richards and husband Gerald of Ansbach, Germany; sisters, Brenda Arlene Tufts and husband John of Hampton, GA, Linda Floyd and husband Darrell of Hampton, GA, Sue Ogletree and husband Greg of Griffin, GA and Shelia Slack of Locust Grove, GA; and grandchildren, Steven, Elizabeth, Chelsea, Rhiannon and Marina.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2012 in the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home.
