We were saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He lived an extraordinary life and contributed so much to the world in the friendship bonds he developed as well as his contributions to the space program. He was such a cordial person and represented what I would consider as the consummate Southern gentleman. He and Sylvia were long time friends of my parents. I will always remember how he and Sylvia flew to be at my father's bedside as dad lay dying. That was the kind of man he was and he will be missed. My sympathy goes out to your family at this sad time. Take care!

Sorry I could not be there today, but since I lost Mike almost two years ago, I can't force myself to go - I get too upset and I feel like it causes more grief for the family. Know that my heart and prayers are with you dear Sylvia. One year and you can be sealed as I was sealed to Mike last year on the 24th of February. It is a wonderful answer to the hope in our hearts.

I was heartbroken this past week when I heard of Bob's death. Unfortunately, mostly through retirement I guess I haven't kept in touch with Bob like I should have. I regret that I was unaware of his failing health. I was always honored to call Bob a good friend. We served together in Rotary and on the Norman Economic Development Committee and on various committees and fundraising activities. What we did the most however, was play golf with our other good friend, Frank Coulter. The three of us laughed and hacked our way around many golf courses. We traveled out of state several times for golf and for golf and baseball games. I can't help but smile and chuckle when I remember some of those experiences. Bob was always the consummate gentleman, no matter what happened or was said by any of us. I will always remember Bob Danner as a person who was very respected and held in high esteem by everyone he knew. Mostly, my memories will be the fun times, the laughs and the wonderful fellowship had with Bob and Frank. I'm confident those guys have already played several rounds of golf in heaven and I'm looking forward to the day I can join them. Sylvia, I pray that God will comfort you and your family and that sweet memories will help sustain you in this time of loss and sorrow.

Mr. Danner was a good friend of my father, Dean Corder from Willow Creek Golf and Country Club days. I remember fondly many rounds of golf and times afterwards in the Grill with the two. Mr Danner was a brilliant mind and spirt. My father had tremendous respect Mr Danner and often used Bob as a standard for honesty and integrity. I was saddened today when I learned of his passing. But also found much joy remembering the laughter, fun times, and friendship he forged with my father. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr Danner and his loved ones. Sincerely, Dan Corder

I was much saddened to learn of Bob's death. I remember him as a fine man. He gave my son John a lift in life when it was needed. Both John and I will remember Bob for that. Please accept my condolences. I wish the best for the family that Bob leaves behind.

I met Bob & Sylvia in 1989 when I went to live with them as a Rotary exchange student from New Zealand. They immediately became my American Mom & Dad, subsequently Grandmommy & Grandpoppy to my 3 children.

Bob was the quintessential gentleman; patriot and family man. Over the last 29 years we have exchanged letters, gifts, phone calls, emails & visits. He was an incredibly talented, ethical, intelligent and compassionate man. The world is a poorer place for his passing.

Thank-you Dad Danner for allowing me to be a part of your life.
