My sincere condolences to the family at this time of loss. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things to handle. May you find comfort in God's word from scriptures such as John 5:28, 29. God promises that our loved ones in His memory will return to life again. How wonderful to look forward to seeing him again in the resurrection!

Mr. Reed you will be missed, but not forgotten. I get compliments on my handwriting and I always tell a story about Mr. Reed. He stressed upon us to be gentleman and respectful of others. Mr. Reed was a wonderful mentor and roll model.

Leon was my next door neighbor growing up in Norman he lived right behind us. Over the years i got to know him very well even after i moved when i would go see my mom i would always hop over the fence and check on him.Leon woild always shake my hand and just a few weeks ago he gave me a hug, Leon was one of the best men i have ever met he always talked about how much he loved his family and how much he loved his wife. Leon i just want you to know that even though you was my neighbor you were my friend. It was an honour to have you in my life

Mr Reed was my 5th grade teacher about 40 yrs ago. He was probably my favorite teacher of all time and I went to school from age 5 to 26. Most of my teachers did not leave a big enough mark on my mind for me to even remember them this many yrs later but Mr Reed did. I am so sorry for your loss.

"Mr. Reed" was the principal at John Adams Elementary School during my 5 years there as a student in the 1950s. To this frightened first grader, he was the essence of kindness. I was sad when my family chose to move just prior to my sixth grade year. I missed seeing him walk thro' the breezeways, sometimes correcting boys who were rough-housing, but always with a loving voice. Thank you, Mr. Reed. You were the best. I know your family and close friends are missing you, very much. But the heavenly schools just added a needed spirit to their halls.

Mr. Reed was my favorite teacher growing up. You always knew he loved teaching and he loved his students, regardless of his 'tough love' style of teaching, he always had a hug in there as well. He taught me geography by using a fountain pen on blank maps, we practiced our handwriting skills making 'bird nests', and on the last days of school reading Where the Red Fern Grows (not a dry eye went to lunch that day) - these things never left me. To this day when I doodle I find myself reverting back to that birds nest. Mr. Reed's love for his students, along with the discipline and high expectations, have always left a lasting impression on me and I know it did my classmates as well. I had the privilege of seeing him at breakfast a few years ago while visiting my parents and although his body had slowed down, his brain had not. He was just as spry, loving and caring and a joy to visit with. To his family and friends, please know that Mr. Reed left a lasting impression on us all and I personally will never forget him.

Mr. Reed definitely left a lasting impression in my life. He was my favorite teacher. I knew if I got in trouble, I would have to stand up in front of the class, bend over & get a couple of licks with the Figi board. He got your attention and made you listen and learn. I have so much respect for this man. Always had a crisp ironed white shirt on that he rolled his sleeves up. He gave so much to his students. What a legecy. Wish there were more teachers like him.
