Mildred Juanita “Midge” Whitmore was born on September 20, 1930 in Norman, OK to Otto L. and Ruby Dean Payton. She passed from this life peacefully on December 10, 2017 in Chickasha, OK.
She married the love of her life, Chuck Whitmore on July 9, 1955 in Long Beach, CA. They were happily married for 37 years until his passing in 1991.
Midge worked in dry cleaning and helped Chuck in construction. She was a very active member and held many offices in the Rebecca IOOF Lodge in Norman, OK until its closing.
She enjoyed attending Holiday Mass with her children and grandchildren, as well as hosting Blue Grass jams at her home and attending festivals statewide.
She is survived by her children and spouses: Michael Otto Kuhl and wife Noelle of Garden Grove, CA, Anna May Whitehead-Agee, of Chickasha, OK, Stuart Edward “Eddie” Whitmore and wife Gwen of Norman, OK; and many grandchildren that she loved dearly.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Charles, son-in-law Merritt Agee and a son-in-law Harold Whitehead.
Visitation will be 1-8 pm Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
