Welcome to the memorial page for

Rex Lee Studley

January 21, 1950 ~ August 19, 2017 (age 67) 67 Years Old
On August 19th, 2017, Rex Lee Studley, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away. He is survived by his wife, Vici (Young) Studley, son Sean Studley & Leigh Ann, daughter Brandi Studley, grandchildren Austin, Alicia, Alison, Cole and Alexis and many other family and friends.
Rex was born in Waterloo Iowa and moved to Conway, Arkansas when he was 12. At age 16 he started dating the love of his life and best friend Vici and they married July 4, 1968. Rex joined the US Army in 1969 and was stationed in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1972 and went straight to work for the US Postal Service in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He worked his way up through the ranks and in 1981 was promoted to MTSC and moved his family to Norman, Oklahoma where he spent the remainder of his years.
Rex’s work was always his passion. He loved the Postal Service and was dedicated not only to the job, but to the people, many of whom grew to become close family.
Rex also loved to fish and was ready and eager to go at any time. He shared that love with us all from the early years at Lake Ouachita to Lake Texoma, Lake Arbuckle, Ft. Cobb and the Illinois River just to name a few of his favorite fishing holes. Most people who knew him could share a story about him at one of these places. He will greatly be missed by us all.
In lieu of flowers, we would like all Memorial Donations to be made in Rex’s name to the United Way of Norman or Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity.
The Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Havenbrook Funeral Home located at 3401 Havenbrook St, Norman OK 73072
