Allan N. Austin, age 74, passed away August 21, 2020. He was born October 14, 1945, in Madill, OK, to the late Evelyn and Allan M. Austin. On August 31, 1963, he married Linda Gayle Harris Austin. Allan attended Oklahoma State University and IBM Education Center and spent over 30 years working with computers in the fields of systems analysis, programming and operations. He was also a licensed Oklahoma Real Estate Agent. In 1995, Allan became the owner and operator of Cheapo Depot in Del City which was a discount home improvement store. He enjoyed helping others build their own homes and improve their properties.
Allan enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching his grandchildren play sports and participate in other activities and was a lifelong OU fan. He was also known for having the cleanest garage in the neighborhood. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, he will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Linda Gayle Austin; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Julie Austin; two granddaughters, Jordyn Austin and Allison Austin, all of Norman; one sister, Jeanette Austin of Midwest City; one brother, Donnie Goodin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
