Alvin Eugene Barnard

Alvin Eugene Barnard, age 88, of Norman, died Sunday, August 16, 2020.  He was born September 9, 1931, in Norman to the late Ocie Barnard and Nadine King Barnard.  Alvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was on active duty for two years, 1952-1953, and spent 10 months in Korea.

He worked for and later owned Bob’s Seat Cover Shop and retired after 40 years.

Alvin loved gardening, camping, fishing and going on cruises.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by brother, Lewis ‘Bee’, Jerry Wayne, Glenn and Bobby; and step-daughter, Brenda Chitwood.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Zoraida ‘Toy’ Barnard; brothers, Charles and wife Becky, JC and wife Betty, Leon and wife Jackie; and many nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services were held at Blackburn Cemetery in Norman.
