Tribute

Anthony Preston Baker (Tony) passed away on Monday, October 19, in his home in Norman, Oklahoma. So ends a life of kindness, love, and service to others. Tony was a great storyteller. He could tell the same stories on family occasions and would have the listeners hugging each other with laughter even though they had heard the same story countless times before. He was a salesman for many years for Toro Golf equipment where he won many honors as top salesman. This enabled him to travel to many exciting places especially Sydney, Australia which became one of his favorite stories to tell. Tony loved golf. He played golf in high school where he was state champion for US Grant High School. He watched it avidly and was passionate about the game as he was about life. He was passionate about the love of his life Paulette and sons, Gary, Chris, and PJ.

Tony is survived by his loving brothers Randy, Jeffrey, and John Jay; and his beautiful sisters, Gigi and Shelley. He had wonderful friends in his life James McGough, Mike Hutton, and Richard McNeeley to name only a few. We will all miss him dearly, but his loving spirit and our loving memories will get us through the day. His remains will be cremated and spread at the family home in Oklahoma City. He asked that friends not mourn his death but celebrate his wonderful life.
