Bobby Gene Vanderburg, Sr., age 86, of Norman, OK passed away Thursday, Feb 1, 2018. He was born November 9, 1931 in Norman, OK to Floyd Vanderburg and Ruby White Vanderburg.  

He married Doris June Vanderburg on May 26, 1967. He was a Pastor his whole life. In his early years he did street corner preaching as well as jail ministry. He also worked as a concrete contractor for many years and worked at Fred Jones Lincoln Mercury in Norman.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his son Bobby Gene Vanderburg Jr. 

He is survived by his wife Doris June Vanderburg, brother Walter Vanderburg, sister Sonja Shepherd, daughter Sarah Stroud and her husband Jeff Stroud, daughter Ruth McIntosh and her Husband Russell McIntosh and their children Derek Vanderburg, Aspen Mcintosh, Blake McIntosh and Brooke McIntosh, son Craig Henson and his wife Misty Henson and their children, Johnnie Henson, Debbie Henson Reinstatler, Angela Henson, Dustin Henson, Kayla Fent and Devin Vaughn Fent and Zac Fent, son Jimmy Ward and his wife Meredith Ward and their children Chris Ward, Rebecca Ward and Rachel Ward also, the late Bobby Vanderburg Jr’s children James Morris, Josh Vanderburg, Asa Vanderburg, Christelle Vanderburg, Ashley Miller and Dana Vanderburg, as well as many Great Grandchildren. 

Visitation/Viewing will be Wednesday February 7, 2018 from 12:00PM until 5:00 PM
Funeral Services will be Thursday February 8, 2018 at 10:00AM with Interment following at Washington Cemetery.
