Tribute

Candace Hope Crowder, beloved daughter, mother and friend, passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 42.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Candace was born on July 24, 1981, to her beloved parents, Phillip Wayne Crowder and Phyllis Ann Richardson-Hall.  From an early age, Candace had a profound appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, finding joy in the beauty of nature.  She had a special bond with nature and often took her beloved dogs for refreshing swims at the lake, creating lasting memories of happiness and tranquility.

With a passion for personal growth and inner peace, Candace found solace in meditation, embracing its calming effects on her mind and spirit.  She possessed a vibrant spirit and a zest for life, often indulging in friendly games of pool relishing every moment spent with her friends.

Candace’s heart overflowed with love and empathy, and she dedicated herself to helping others in any way she could.  This altruistic spirit led her to pursue a career in nursing, where she touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to healing.  For ten years, Candace served as a beacon of hope and comfort in the emergency room at the OU Medical Center, providing critical care and compassion to those in need.  She later continued her noble work at Integris Southwest, where she made a profound impact on the lives of her patients for eight years.  Even in her brief time at J.D. McCarty, Candace’s compassion and dedication shone brightly, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Above all else, Candace was a devoted mother to her three beautiful children, Jordan, Emma, and Lyric.  Her love for them knew no bounds, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding them through life’s journey.  She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire and uplift her children as they navigate the world without her physical presence.

Candace will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Although she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched, forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love.

Rest in peace, dear Candace.

Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forevermore.
