Carol Sue Casey

Carol Sue Casey, nee’ Ives, 78, of Norman Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019.  She was born on February 6, 1941, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Melvin and Reba Breedlove Ives.  Carol grew up in Norman and after high school moved to Canada for a short time before relocating to Southern California for over 30 years.

She worked for many years in the service industry, greatly enjoying her time interacting with the public.  She enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, reading and traveling, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Reba Ives; her brother, Donald Ives; her sister, Joann Sprague and her husband Gerald Casey.  She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Ives of Moore, Oklahoma; her children, Terry Smith of Norman Oklahoma, Debra Walton of Salem, Oregon, James Russell Walton of Blachly, Oregon, Cindra Curtis of Norman, Oklahoma and Dave Curtis of Carlsbad, California; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2019, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Amy McClung.  A private interment will be held at a later date at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
