Carolyn Cochenour, 72, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on August 5 ,2017. Carolyn was born to John and Lola Heiskill on January 29, 1945 in Weleetka, Oklahoma. She and her husband, Ray Cochenour were married in November 1972. She worked for the Veterans Administration and the Corporation Commission for many years. Carolyn crocheted hats for newborn babies for Norman Regional and the Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. She loved to work cross word puzzles and enjoyed cross stitching. She always had a dog, cat or bird. She fed all the wild animals that ventured into her back yard. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. Survivors include her husband, Ray Cochenour of Norman, Oklahoma, her son Kevin McGehee and his wife Tracy of Edmond, Oklahoma, her sister Penny Davidson and her husband Jerry of Navarre, Florida and her best buddy and niece, Sandy Wilson and husband Kelly of Norman, Oklahoma. Carolyn had four wonderful grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, which she was very proud of. She had very special nieces and nephews that called her Doll Doll.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Carolyn’s honor to the Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation, P.O. Box 592, Washington, Oklahoma 73093. Carolyn’s services have been placed under the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, August, 8, 2017, 1:00 pm at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden, OK
