Cathy Jo Smith

Cathy Smith, Caregiver, passed away unexpectedly Saturday November 20, 2021 at the young age of 59 in Oklahoma City, Ok.

She is survived by her son Lucas his fiancé Ashley, grandson Carsen, sisters Angie Hoyt, Susan Wood and Husband Neal, Cheryl Hendrickson, Carol Eckert,  Brothers- Terry Butts and wife Teri, and Christopher Butts wife Ann. Nieces and Nephews: Shelly, Melissa, Nathan, David, Jason, Kevin, Michael, Brittany, Erin, Kaitlyn, Zeb, Zariah Several Great nieces and nephews that she loved like grandchildren; Hollis, Rylin, Ellie, Jace, Brennan, Ryan, Parker, Bradley, Matthew, Jaden, and Jordan.  She was predeceased by husband Robert Smith, Parents Dan and JoAnn Butts, Nephew Michael Hoyt, and brother Jimmy Butts.  

Cathy was born in California April 26, 1962. She was loved unconditionally by her parents Dan and Joann. She worked as a Certified Nurse Aide most of her adult life. The over last 4 years she was a live in nanny/babysitter. Cathy was a devoted sister, aunt, and mother. She enjoyed camping, fishing and anything that had to do with her grandson, great nieces and great nephews. She loved listening to country music. She danced around the house all the time with Hollis and Rylin. Cathy loved her church and was a devoted Christian. She was recently re-Baptized and renewed her life with God. She was the most dependable person. If you needed anything, Cathy was the person to call. She would be there. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
