1947-2019
Charles Rhodes, age 72 of Oklahoma City passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 8, 1947 in Geary, Oklahoma to Charles Albert Rhodes and Jule Marie Kennedy Rhodes.
Charles grew up in Geary and graduated from Geary High School in 1965. He served in the Vietnam War. When he returned, he met Elizabeth Kay Hood while working at Tinker Air Force Base in 1968 and they married on July 2, 1969.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Albert and Jule Marie Rhodes as well as his beloved grandmother, LaVerne Rhodes better known as Grandma Rocky Rhodes. Charles is survived by his wife Kay Rhodes and their four children; daughter, Stacy Olson and husband, Greg Olson; his daughter, Kris Brown and husband, Billy Brown; son, Aaron Rhodes; and his daughter Deborah Skelly and husband Wes Skelly. Charles is also survived by his favorite grandchildren, Blaine Olson, Bradyn Rhodes, Zane Olson and Jahira Skelly.
Funeral service will begin at 2 pm, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Bodine Baptist Church, 3501 S.E. 59th Street in Oklahoma City, OK. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, OK.
Arrangements for Charles Rhodes and his family were placed in the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
