For somw reason I thought about Mr. Porter today and was saddened to hear of his passing just over 3 months ago. He was my 7th and 8th grade math teacher, and inspired me to get a degree in Math at college. He had an interesting and full life, and was just a very sharp individual. He and his wife lived near me in Mannford as I was growing up. I seem to remember his favorite book was Watership Down. Thank you, Mr. Porter. You had a long and wonderful life!
