Dorothy June Claxton

Dorothy June Claxton, 88, lifelong Norman resident, passed away, Monday, July 30, 2018. Dorothy was born in Norman on June 25, 1930 to James Willard and Mary Eva White. Dorothy enjoyed volunteering, gardening and spending time with friends and family. She married Billy Paul Claxton in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Dorothy worked and retired from Central State Hospital.
She was survived by her son, Kenneth Claxton of Tulsa, OK; four Grand Children: Gwen Claxton Brackett, Chris Claxton, Tara Claxton-Stephan, her husband James Stephan and Jack Claxton; four Great Grand Children: Madison, Darby, Owen and Everleigh. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one sister, Hazel Saltz.

Services have been placed in the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home. Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Services to remember Dorothy will be on Friday, August 3, 2018, 10:30 am, led by Mike Garner at Havenbrook Funeral Home with burial to follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Norman.
