Dorothy (Potette) Mangham, age 77, passed away December 30, 2020. She was born on December 6, 1943, in Muskogee, OK, to Virgil and Mae Potette. Dorothy graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1962 and Southeastern State College in 1966. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Collinsville, OK, before attending graduate school at the University of Oklahoma to pursue a Master of Education degree.
Dorothy was a lifelong Elvis fan and attending one of his last concerts brought her great joy and treasured memories.
The love she had for her children was unsurpassed, and she took great pride in their accomplishments. Dorothy also had an incredibly special and loving relationship with her paternal grandmother, Dora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Melvin Lee Potette; and her sister, Sharon K. Dobson.
Dorothy is survived by her eldest son, Richard Lee Cricklin of Oklahoma City, OK; son, David Wayne Cricklin and his wife Nikki of Norman, OK; daughter, Air Force Colonel (Ret.) Deborah Kay Cricklin and her spouse Air Force Colonel (Ret.) Rachel McCaffrey of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Kyle Andrew Cricklin and Sydney Nicole Cricklin of Edmond, OK; sister, Mary Hooper of Warner, OK; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
