Frances Elizabeth Skidmore

Frances Elizabeth (Higbee) Skidmore went home to her lord on August 5, 2022 after a short battle

with cancer. She was born July 1, 1938 in Corbett, Oklahoma to Louis Howard Higbee and Lois

Vera (Kirkland) Higbee.

She met the love of her life, David Lee Skidmore, and they were married on August 24, 1956. They

were married for 58 years before David went to be with the Lord.

She worked at Sears & Roebuck before becoming a stay-at-home mom for several years. She had

two children, Denise and David. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1972 and opened a car

dealership, Dave Skidmore Motors until 1983. She continued to work as a bookkeeper before fully

retiring in 2012.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Madole of Norman, her son David Skidmore and wife

Ruvena of Norman, two grandsons: Sean Madole and wife Kylie and great-grandson Camden of

Norman and Connor Madole and wife Derica and great-grandchildren Hudson and Sawyer of

Washington, OK, and four nephews: Allen Barwick of Shawnee, OK, Robert Higbee of Walnut

Creek, CA, Dennis Higbee of San Diego, CA, and Richard Higbee of Corona, CA.

She is preceded in death by her husband David L. Skidmore, mother - Lois Higbee, father - Howard

Higbee, brother - William Higbee and sister - Janet Barwick.
