Glenard R. Vaught

Glenard Ray Vaught, 92, of Norman, OK passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Glen was born July 4, 1926 in Clarksville, TX to Edgar Vaught and Lou Smith Vaught.

Glen grew up and attended school in Norman, OK. On December 12, 1946, he married his love, Wilma Collett. Glen served in the US Army in the 82 Airborne and fought in WWII. He later became a grocery store manager where he served for 47 years. Glen was a lifetime member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he was a senior deacon as well as a Sunday school teacher. He especially loved to garden and to spend time with family.

His parents; his wife Wilma Vaught; and several brothers and sisters preceded Glen in death.

He is survived by his children, Diane Simmons, Janice White, Steve and wife Pat Vaught, and Ann Goldsberry; his grandchildren, Erin and husband Brandon McCune, Laura and husband Rob Thompson, Wes and wife Brandy White, and Jill and husband Sam Stokely; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Billie Gasaway; sister in law, Marjorie Vaught; and many nieces and nephews.

Family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Plusquellec and his staff, as well as Brookhaven Extensive Care and all his caretakers.


The family will be present to receive friends from 2PM- 4PM Sunday November 25, 2018 at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 10AM Monday November 26, 2018 at the Immanuel Baptist Church with interment following at Warren Cemetery.
