Glenn Alton Heitz of Norman, OK, passed away September 10, 2022, at the age of 77.
Glenn was born March 26, 1945 in Norman, OK, to parents Ronald Joe Sr, (R.J.) and Elizabeth Ellen Heitz.
Glenn graduated from Norman Highschool in 1959, where he was a member of the FAA. Glenn also served in the Army National Guard and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
The loves of his life were his wife, Charlene, their dog Gizmo, being a grandpa and watching TV westerns such as Gunsmoke, The Virginian, and the Rifleman, just to name a few.
Glenn and his wife Charlene, were members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Vincent De Paul, Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration and the Golden Agers. Glenn was also a member of the Knights of Colombus.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents R.J. and Elizabeth (Welchert) Heitz, brothers Phillip Lyle and Ronald (Ronnie) Joe Heitz Jr., stepchildren Valerie Rainey, Marcus and Barry Mine.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Charlene, sisters; Pat Elmore, Cheryl and husband Mitchell Davis, and Melinda Heitz. Sisters-in-law Beth and Becky Heitz, and stepson Curtis and wife Tina Mize and Teresa Mize. Along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in memory of Glenn Heitz to the St. Vincent De Paul Society of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
