Janice C. Huffman passed away suddenly at home in Tulsa on January 23, 2019. She was born in Norman, Oklahoma to Dr. George G. and Jane A. Huffman on September 22, 1955. Janice grew up in Norman and attended Norman Public Schools graduating from Norman High School in 1973 as one of the valedictorian.
Janice graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science after just three years and was named one of The Outstanding Seniors. Janice continued her education at The Wharton School in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and graduated with the degree of Master of Business Administration.
Janice had a long and varied career with several major companies including MCI Communications, Wiltel, Jones Intercable, United Artists Entertainment and Right Management. Her work assignments included being a national product manager, director of national marketing, senior business analyst, director of pay-per-view, and career management consultant.
Her parents, George G. and Jane A. Huffman, both preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Larry Huffman and his wife Pati Huffman of Norman and their four children, Brian Huffman, Julie Young, Jami Martin and Jarrod Pryor and their spouses and children. She is also survived by her other brother, Randy Huffman and his wife Mary Jane Huffman of Greenwich, Connecticut and their two children Avery Yee of Providence, Rhode Island and her spouse and their two children and Ted Huffman of Greenwich, Connecticut. Janice is also survived by her long time boyfriend and companion Kenny Bennett of Claremore, Oklahoma and his entire family including his two children, Ricky Bennett and Kenny Bennett Jr. who were especially close to Janice.
