Janie Ketner

Janie Ketner, 89, of Norman died on March 18, 2018 in Winston-Salem North Carolina.  Janie was born on November 2, 1928 and was a lifelong resident of Norman.  She was married to Bill Ketner for forty seven years until his death.  She was a loving, loyal and committed wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.  

Janie was a respected and admired employee of Harolds on Campus Corner in Norman for over 50 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Norman for 71 years.  Janie is remembered by her family as having courage, a desire to learn, an amazing work ethic, loyalty and an ability to face every challenge with hope and faith.  

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cindy and Dennis Reilley; and son and daughter in law Bill and Cindy Ketner.  Two grandsons, Jason Reilly (Keri) and Michael Reilley (May), two granddaughters, Jane Ketner Gerbrandt (Kevin)   and Claire Ketner; two great granddaughters Catherine and Emily Reilley and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Janie’s well lived life will be at First Baptist Church in Norman on March 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm.  The family will greet friends at the church before the service at 1:00pm.
