Jimma Lea Hobbs

Jimma Lea Hobbs, age 92, a retired schoolteacher, was born on February 10, 1929, in Carlsbad, New Mexico.  She died on June 6, 2021, during a brief hospitalization.  Jimma loved children and taught grade school in San Bernardino, California, for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and William Hobbs; her brother, Wesley Hobbs of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Vina Wilson of Edmond, and Aline Preble of Norman; and niece, Jean Maxwell of Oklahoma City.  Jimma is survived by her devoted nephew, Lee Preble of Choctaw; and several great nieces and nephews.

Jimma was a lifelong Christian and attended Berry Road Baptist Church in Norman for many years.  Her family is comforted that Jimma is free of her earthly struggles and is now surrounded by the glory of God.
