Johnny Clarence Irons, III, was born on July 12, 1963, and went on to be with God on October 24, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Mae Irons; and father, J.C. Irons, Jr.  He is survived by his current wife, Lily Irons; his son, Johnny Clarence Irons, IV of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters, DeMorney Trinh Irons of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Rikki Jahna Mai Irons of Norman, Oklahoma; and his first wife, Lee Pham of California.  He is survived by his sisters, Sotora Guy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brenda Laws of San Jose, California, Lillie Vee Laws of Atlanta, Georgia, Angela Mrema and her husband Mark Mrema, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Angelica Franklin of Norman, Oklahoma.  He is survived by his brothers, James Laws and his wife Carolyn Laws, of Norman, Oklahoma, Maurice Laws of Dallas, Texas, Steven Irons and his wife Robin Irons of Norman, Oklahoma, Bradley Irons and his wife Dawn Irons, of Denver City, Texas, Daryl Irons and his wife Danyl Irons, of Norman, Oklahoma and Broderick Willis of Norman, Oklahoma.  He is also survived by aunt, Alice Faye Newman of McAlester, Oklahoma; one grandchild; and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

Johnny received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in International Business and Management Information Systems; he went on to acquire his masters from Colorado Technical University in Marketing and Entrepreneurship in 2015.

 

He proudly served in the Navy and was the OKLANENA president from 2006-2008.  He worked as a 9-1-1 industry emergency professional software engineer with over 14 years of public safety experience in both the public and private sectors.

 

He lived all out when he flew the wind while sport motorcycling, through which he shared the company of dozens of other enthusiasts on the many rides he took part in, but mentoring youth was his passion.  He coached for young athletes for Irving Middle School for 20 years.
