Joseph Glen Blair Jr., 88, of Norman passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. He was born January 15, 1929 in Elk City, OK to Joseph Glen Blair Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Bumpus) Blair.

He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1947. Joseph achieved the rank of first lieutenant in the US Army serving in Korea. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and became an accomplished geologist. He was a collector of hobbies and whatever hobby he became interested in, he became an expert at it whether it be photography, model planes, astronomy, or music. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lorene Blair; and his second wife, Agatha Blair; brother, Frank Blair; and his sister Louise Baxter. Joseph is survived by his daughters, Amy and husband Frederick Rice, and Debby and husband Keith Porter; his brother, Don and wife Betty Blair; grandchildren, Taryn Porter, Ashtyn Porter, Caeli Rice, Jacob Rice, and his wife Melissa Rice; one great grandchild, Keegan Rice; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
