Joy T. House

Joy T. House, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away May 30, 2019, at the age of 92. Joy was born December 11, 1926 in Russell, Oklahoma.

In 1944, Joy graduated from Reed High School and later graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women in 1948. After graduation from OCW, she went on to get her Master’s Degree from O.U. in 1955. Joy became a teacher and taught for over 40 years, helping others further their own education.

Joy married her first husband, Cecil and together they had one daughter, Sue Parish. Cecil preceded her in death in 1951. Joy later married her second husband, Chuck House in 1956. Chuck preceded her in death in 1998.

Joy was a loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend who will be greatly missed by countless loved ones, including her daughter, Sue Parish and her grandson, Toby Roberts, both of Norman.

Burial will be in Mangum, Oklahoma.
