Kathleen Ranae Kester, age 57, of Noble, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in her home after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Kathleen was born August 7, 1964, in McAlester, Oklahoma, at St. Mary’s Hospital to Aaron and Sue Crandell.
Kathy grew up in McAlester until the age of seven when August of 1970, they moved to Oklahoma City. At the age of nine, they moved to Noble, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Noble High School in 1982. At twenty-one years old, she married Charles Lynn Kester, and later had three daughters. She was a teacher for Oklahoma City Public Schools and taught English in high school and middle school. She was cheer coach and head of the English Department. She loved art, 80’s rock music, anything to do with London, England, Harry Potter and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Aaron Crandell; grandparents, Bub and Delours Crandell, C.D. and Johnny Lee Epps; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Sue Crandell of Noble; daughter, Ashlee Kester of Norman, Oklahoma; daughter, Shelby Kester of Stillwater, Oklahoma; daughter, Cheyenne Hacker of Noble, Oklahoma; their three spouses, Mike, Steffan, and Mark; her grandchildren, Dillon, Brooklyn, Madalynn, Billie, Dallas, and Link; her Aunt, Helen Kirk; and numerous cousins.
