Kaveh "Kalvin" Tabatabaee

Kaveh “Kalvin” Tabatabaee (12/1/1957-5/13/2023) was born on December 1, 1957 in Kermanshah, Iran.  He came to the United States in the mid 1970’s.  While attending the University of Oklahoma he met his future wife, Lynn Beth Oliver.  After dating for a brief period, they were married on March 11, 1978.  Kaveh’s most important role, and the role he was most proud of, was when he became a father to David. 

Kaveh spent the majority of his life in the United States as a resident of Norman, Oklahoma.  He spent his working years in automobile sales with a variety of titles.  Kaveh returned to his homeland from 2008-2013, where he looked after unattended matters from his parents passing.  Upon his return to Oklahoma in 2013, Kaveh’s health slowly declined.  He spent the last few years on his terms, how he wanted…in his home with his loving wife and loyal dog, Elvis, by his side to keep him company.  Kaveh considered himself especially blessed when he gained Brianne Hinojosa as a daughter-in-law in 2021.

Kaveh was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan from the time he learned the concept of American football.  What he loved most was seeing his wife and son living happy, peaceful and content lives.

Kaveh was proceeded in death by his parents, Mohsen and Afsar Tabatabaee; his mother-in-law, Golda Oliver; and sister-in-law, Ruth Mae Henderson.

Kaveh is survived by his wife, Lynn Beth Tabatabaee of Norman, OK; son, David and wife Brianne Tabatabaee of Oklahoma City; brother, Kia “Casey” Tabatabaee of Miami, Florida; brother-in law, Gary Henderson of Norman, OK; nephew, Jordan and wife Courtney; great-nephews, Deacon and Baker; and nephew, Jeff Henderson.

There will be an informal come and go event as an opportunity to offer condolences to his wife, Lynn Beth, on Saturday May 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Alameda Baptist Church in Norman.
