Leona A. Harmon

Leona A. Harmon, age 94, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019.  She was born October 11, 1925, in Plainview, Texas, to the late Robert Clifford and Gertrude Nations.  She was a homemaker and very active in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives.  Her hobbies included sewing, painting and craftwork.  Her specialty was making Ragaddy Ann and Andy dolls.  She also loved gardening, yardwork, canning, reading and baking.  On August 30, 1946, Leona married the love of her life, Frank G. Harmon.  A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Frank, of the home; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dillon and Trisha Meyer of the home; Courtney Meyer and Jordyn Donaldson of Norman, Rachel Meyer (Raney) and Curtis Raney of Norman, Lani and Matthew Braddy of Rattan, Jessi Harmon of Antlers, Cherie and Ron Weyand of Moore, Jacob Meyer and Olivia of Broken Arrow, Jordan Meyer of Oklahoma City; nine additional great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; niece, Laura and Ron Schault of Oklahoma City; nephew, Terry and Sharon Nations of Missouri; son-in-law, Paul Meyer and Deborah Ball of Norman; family friends, Daniel and Mary Cross; and a host of additional family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by her children, Shirley Louise Meyer and Michael Ray Harmon; grandchildren, Chris Allen Meyer and Gary Wayne Meyer; two brothers; and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, November 22, 2019, at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman.
