Louis Monroe Russell, age 73, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born April 9, 1948, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Louis served two tours in Vietnam. He was a pilot and flight instructor, an electrician, and retired as a dispatcher from 911. Louis enjoyed woodworking, playing drums, scuba diving and photography. He was also a long-time hobbyist of HAM radio.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Russell; father and step-mother, Alvin and Louise Russell; mother, Julia Roebuck; two brothers, Larry Russell and James Russell; and one grandson, Drew Wilson.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Russell and wife Kim; daughter, Angelia Myers and husband Shawn; daughter, Bonnie Riedmann and husband Richard; son, Michael Russell and wife Christy; one brother, Earl Russell and wife Peggy; three sisters, Judy Irick, Shirley Bennett and husband Kenny, and Cathy Russell; fifteen grandchildren, Riley Russell, Brie Olson, Ben Wilson, Madison Slater, Ethan Slater, Dylan Myers, Shawn Myers Jr., Jeremy Brock, Brittany Robert, Aaron Riedmann, Kimberly Riedmann, Noah Riedmann, Dylan King, Conner Russell and Asher Russell; and eight great grandchildren.
