We celebrate the life of Lynn Donald Foreman, born in January of 1933 to Frank and Ruby Foreman of Norman. Lynn died peacefully holding his loving wife's hands on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
If you knew Lynn and Barbara around Norman they rarely left each others side for their past 64 years of marriage. Lynn met Barbara in the second grade when he walked past her house each day on the way to school, and he knew she would be the love of his life.
Lynn graduated from NHS, playing football and track, and graduated from OU prior to serving his country in the Air Force for over a decade. After his service, they returned to Norman, and Lynn joined the family business as a Homebuilder and Developer in Norman from the 60s to the 80s. Lynn served as the President of the Local Homebuilders Association and as a President of the Rotary Club. Lynn was a faithful member of NorthHaven Church, Bethel Baptist and First Baptist Churches. Lynn served as the Secretary of the Don Joseph Sunday School class at FBC for over 40 years, and Lynn also served his church as a Deacon.
Lynn loved golf with his friends and was not a scratch golfer but did have a hole in one witnessed by his golfing pals at the Trails. Lynn was an avid reader of history and loved C&W music and line dancing with his friends and the love of his life. He had a great sense of humor and will be making his family and friends laugh forever in paradise. Lynn loved his family and celebrated Christmas in July with extended family every year.
Lynn is survived by his precious wife, Barbara, and loving family. Lynn and Barbara have four sons, David, Josh, Matt, and Nathan; five grandsons; two granddaughters; and two great grandchildren.
Due to circumstances, the family will be having a memorial graveside service at a later date.
