Tribute

Marilyn Faye (Mack) McCullough of Norman departed this life on February 12, 2020.  Marilyn was born March 19, 1931, to Lucile and Lester Mack in Oklahoma City.  She graduated from Oklahoma A&M where she was a Kappa Alpha Theta and was actively involved in Future Teachers of America.  She met Gerald McCullough and they were married on December 27, 1952.  They made their homes in Oklahoma City, Myrtle Beach and finally settled in Norman where Gerald opened his general surgery practice in 1962.  She enjoyed playing tennis, attended “The Fellowship Sunday School Class” at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, she was a member of P.E.O. and a member of Women’s Medical Auxiliary.  Marilyn enjoyed being with her grandchildren, watching classic movies, caring for her pets and cheering for any OU sport. She and Gerald were avid travelers and they also loved to dance.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gerald McCullough, her son, Dr. Michael McCullough and her parents.  She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Luthey (Dean) of Tulsa, OK, Tanya McCullough of Dallas, TX, Ann McCullough of Dallas, TX, Kristi McCullough of Roseville, CA, and daughter-in-law, AJ McCullough of Sunset Beach, NC, and her grandchildren, Dr Sarah Shepherd (Scott) of Tulsa, Dr Katie Shepherd (Greg) of Oklahoma City, Mackenzie (Colin) Betchan of Burlington, NC, Mason McCullough of Columbia, SC, Monroe McCullough of Centennial, CO, Madison ten Kate of Richmond, VA and Jake ten Kate of Richmond, VA.  She was blessed to have four great-grandchildren, Libby, Charlie, Caroline and Emily Shepherd.  Marilyn is also survived by her sister, Sue Arnwine, her niece, Angie Kozelsky (Tom), and her nephew, Andy Arnwine.

Funeral Services will be 10:00am Monday February 17, 2020 at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church with interment at Norman IOOF cemetery.
