Mary Ann McCracken

Mary Ann McCracken passed peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Mary was born and raised in Norman OK on February 20, 1932 to Winfield & Mary Jane Willcox. She attended and graduated Norman High School. She was working at South Western Bell when she met the love of her life Jerry, a young Navy man. Together the military took them to France, Okinawa and several places in the United States. After Jerry retired, Mary worked and retired from T.G.&Y and continued to raise their three loving daughters. She was an excellent seamstress and cook and enjoyed traveling. Mary and Jerry did volunteer work with the Red Cross doing disaster relief both overseas and across the U.S. and delivering blood to area hospitals. Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald McCracken; daughters, Karen Parris and husband, Mike, Lynn Guthery and husband, Kris and Kelly Russell; four grandchildren: Sally Barton, Claire Parris, Lindsay Russell and Ethan Russell; and also two great grandchildren, Simon and Sadie Barton. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Tammy and Kim for their devoted care. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
