Mary Sue Nimmo – Pearson at age 96, passed away Wednesday, April 24th surrounded by her three sons and two daughters-in-law. She was born on January 6, 1923 in Panhandle, Texas to father Weldon Leslie Boyles and mother Hazel Hogan Boyles. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Wilford Leslie Boyles and husbands Jack Lee Nimmo and Francis Pearson. Mary Sue is survived by her 3 sons Jack, Steve and David Nimmo, daughters-in-law Cathy and Carolyn, eight grandchildren, Leslie Keith Nimmo, Mary Ann Nimmo, Chelsea Mayer, Dustin Nimmo, Melissa Middleton, Jessica Harris, Michael Nimmo, Mathew Nimmo, and sixteen great grandchildren. She married Jack Lee Nimmo on May 24, 1943 in Austin, TX. She raised her children and spent most of her life in Ada, Oklahoma. After the death of her husband, Jack, she was later remarried to Francis Pearson. She ran the successful Trison Signs and Trophies business in Ada for over twenty years. She became a pilot and member of the 99ers club - an organization of women aviators. She was a member of and youth leader for the First Baptist Church. Mary Sue was an avid bridge and domino enthusiast and was famous for her spaghetti and meatballs and for her Halloween parties. She was an enthusiastic world traveler and was well known for her kindness and wit and was loved by all those that knew her. There will be an open viewing from 9-11 on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman, OK. Interment and service will be at Rose Hill Burial Park Abbey Mausoleum in Oklahoma City at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29th, 2019. Pallbearers are Michael Nimmo, Dusty Nimmo, Mathew Nimmo, Kerry Middleton, Phil Harris and Max Middleton. Honorary Pall Bearers are Keith Nimmo and Brandon Mayer. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Stephenson Cancer Center at The University of Oklahoma in honor of Mary Sue.
