Millicent Angel

Millicent Irene Angel (Boyd), age 88, of Norman, passed away Monday, December 15, 2020.  She was born on January 30, 1932, in Spiro, Oklahoma, to the late James Boyd and Polly Boyd (House).  Millicent grew up and attended school in Spiro, Oklahoma.  After high school she married and was a military wife for the next 17 years, living in Washington State, Germany, and Alaska.  After her marriage ended, she relocated back to Oklahoma, obtained her Associates Degree from Carl Albert Junior College in Poteau, Oklahoma, and eventually made her home in Norman.  Millicent worked as a manicurist for many years in Norman and enjoyed a large clientele before her retirement in 2006.  She loved gardening and was a dedicated mother and caretaker to her youngest son.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James, John, Willard, Contz and Billy Boyd; and her sisters, Pauline Cloud and Barbara Ohler.   She is survived by her sister, Lila Dismukes of Norman; her children, Steven Angel of Fairbanks, Alaska, Linda Angel and David Wesson of Norman, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Danny Lazar of Moore, Matthew Thompson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Robert and William Moore of Norman, Oklahoma; and her great grandchildren, Emory Lazar and Alexis Moore.

Millicent will be remembered by her family and friends for her dedication as a mother, her feisty nature, her wonderful sense of humor and her big heart.
