Nickey Ruth Ketner

Nickey Ruth Ketner, age 76, of Norman, passed away June 11, 2021.  She was born August 29, 1944, in Norman, Oklahoma, to the late N.J. Davis and Ruth Baird.  Nickey was a nurse’s aide at the Norman Veteran’s Center for 32 years, and after retirement, she worked in home health for a number of years.  She was a talented cake decorator, and she enjoyed crocheting and attending school functions for her children and grandchildren.  Nickey was always smiling and was a sweet caring woman who enjoyed helping others.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Nickey was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Billy Byron Ketner; brother, John Davis; and sister Kathy Davis.

She is survived by one son, Robert Ketner and his wife Jen; one daughter, Lucinda Kamradt and her husband Kyle; three grandchildren, Carrie Hunt and her wife Kandy, Tyler Schlagel and his husband Joseph, Dillon Candelaria and his wife Sarah; three great grandchildren, Colton Hunt, Kloie and Axel Candelaria; siblings, Sue Kimbell and her husband Doug, Don Baird, Violet Shelton, Richard Baird and his wife Martha, James Davis and his wife Donna, Victoria Lummus and her husband Billy, and Brenda Wooten and her husband Michael; three brothers-in-law, Nathan Veal and his wife Jennifer, Terry Veal and his wife Marilyn, Larry Veal and his wife Laura; and many nieces and nephews.
