Dick Iman, 85, of Norman passed away Friday, December 28, 2018. He was born April 23, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to O.B. Iman and Ethel Holland Iman.
He grew up in Oklahoma City where he graduated from Central High School in 1951. He went on to earn a degree in chemical engineering from Oklahoma State University. After college, he served as second lieutenant in the Air Force and in 1958 he married Carol Casey.
Dick was a pioneer in the coin-operated car wash industry. He built and operated car washes in Oklahoma City for over fifty years. In the seventies, he built the first four-bay coin-operated car wash in the country.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his son Michael. Dick is survived by his wife, sons Gregory and Matthew, and brother Jack.
