Robert L. Ranck

Robert L. Ranck, age 89, of Norman, passed away September 22, 2022.  He was born in Gage, Oklahoma, on October 21, 1932, to the late Linnaeus and Irene Ranck.  A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Robert served as a Buck Sergeant from 1951-1955.  He later was employed as a title analyst in the oil fields for many years until his retirement.  On August 8, 1993, he married Marilyn Neely Ranck, who preceded him in death on October 3, 2016.

Robert loved western movies and books, enjoyed puzzles, and was an avid fisherman.  He also had a green thumb and was proud of his vegetable and flower gardens.  Most of all, Robert was the biggest OU fan ever.  He watched all Sooner sports, especially softball.  Boomer Sooner!

Robert is survived by four daughters, Jenny Brosius and her husband David, Suzanne Leeviraphan and her husband Eric, Kathy Huston, and Lisa Rapp and her husband Chris; and nine grandchildren, Hollie Brosius, Elizabeth Brosius, Austin Leeviraphan, Katey Leeviraphan, Connor Leeviraphan, Elise Huston, Alex Huston, Teagen Rapp and Tenley Rapp.
