Robert 'Bob' Lessly

Robert ‘Bob’ Lessly, 87, of Norman, passed away October 29, 2019.  Born on January 5, 1932, in Stella, OK, to the late Lee Roy and Linnie Lessly, he was a life-long resident of Cleveland County.

He was a member of Alameda Church of Christ in Norman since the 1940s.  After 42 years of employment, Bob retired from Giltedge Farms.  He enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening and tinkering with things on his farm.

Bob will be remembered for having a joke for every occasion and always singing a song to fit the situation at hand.  A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice Lessly; daughter, Roberta Lessly and husband Duff Andrews; son, Charles Lessly and wife Lois; sister, Sue Walton; four grandchildren, Robert Lessly and wife Jill, Rachel Lessly, Kenny Inglish and wife Teri, Sean Strong and wife Crystal; and seven great grandchildren, Jeremiah Strong, Brooklyn Strong, Ian Blair, Makaila Inglish, Collin Inglish, Rylynn Crow and Melea Lessly.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Lessly and Paul Lessly; and sister Betty Haines.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019, at Alameda Church of Christ, 801 E. Alameda Ave, Norman.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman.
