Ronald Dale Stokes

Ronald Dale Stokes, age 77, of Norman, passed the afternoon of June 29, 2022, surrounded by love.  He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the Oklahoma National Guard.  Ron will be remembered for his infectious depth of knowledge, his deep love of OU Women’s Basketball and OU women’s Softball, his love of classic Ford Galaxies and Mustangs, and the continuous adventures he and Harleta enjoyed across the country.

He is survived by his loving wife, Harleta Stokes; his two children, Richard Stokes and his wife Kristen Stokes, and Harold Stokes II and his wife Kimberly Stokes; his grandchild, Turner Stokes and his wife Emily Stokes; and his two great grandchildren, Denham Stokes and Theodore Stokes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for brain cancer research in honor of Ron Stokes.
