Ruth A Gattis

Ruth Adna Gattis, 89, of Norman passed away in her sleep Saturday, 1 Jun 2019. She was born 29 August 1929 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Henry and Laura Bell Gold.

She grew up in Hobart and Lawton and graduated from Lawton High. She attended the University of Oklahoma for a short time prior to marrying Glenn Gattis on 1 April 1950.

She was always busy with her church and children’s and grandchildren’s activities. She was very creative and was often painting, doing crafts, needlework or knitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn, and her son, Glenn.

Ruth is survived by her son, Paul and his wife Deann and grandson Benjamin of Norman; her daughter-in-law Jan and granddaughter Erica of Norman.

Funeral Services will begin at 10:00am, Thursday, 6 June 2019 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Mike Bumgarner, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman, OK with interment following at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Norman.

Memorials may be made in memory of Ruth Adna to the American Cancer Society.
