Shawn Anthony Rains

Shawn Anthony Rains, 39, left this planet on Friday, April 30, 2021 in Norman, OK.  He was born in Dallas, TX, to Anthony “Tony” and Constance Rains, the third of four sons by Constance.  He completed high school in Norman and attended a culinary arts college.  He had several positions that involved interaction with people, as he loved hamming it up with others.  He earned his journeyman’s license in HVAC and could fix near anything.  He was a long time Kansas City Chiefs fan and you wouldn’t miss him sporting his gear during game days. 

Shawn married the love of his life, Lindsay Rains (née Hamilton).  His true joy in life was family.  It did not matter the origin of birth, but if he considered you family, he would give you everything until he had nothing left to give.

He is survived by his wife, Lindsay; his stepson, Max; his daughter, Anna Bella; his son, Oliver; his mother, Constance; his grandfather, “Hoot” (James); his uncle, Chris; his brothers, Greg, Steven, and Brandon; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Hollie; and his father, Tony.
