January 15, 1927 ~ March 19, 2021 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Tribute

Themus Mose ‘Boe’ Woodruff, of Norman, OK, passed from this life on March 19, 2021.  Boe, son of Mose Crocker and Enda Pearl (Carmichael) Woodruff, was born January 15, 1927, in Lindsay, OK.  Boe attended Lindsay schools and then joined the Army.  He was married to Billie Rae Beverly for an incredible 75 years.  They were blessed with two sons, Terry Don and Danny Wade, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Billie and Boe lived in numerous towns early in their marriage due to his job in the oilfield, before settling in Woodward, OK, for over 50 years.  For much of their retirement, they spent their winter months in south Texas where they could maintain their active lifestyles in warmer weather.

Boe spent his career in the oilfield, working his way up from roughneck to eventually managing an oilfield tool rental office and consulting.  In retirement, he enjoyed meeting his friends every morning and afternoon for coffee and would play pool with any other dedicated pool player he could find.  He rarely lost.  Boe was proud of his family and enjoyed spending his free time tinkering in the shop, especially if it meant working on projects together.  Every morning he brought home to Billie, his wife, a fresh cup of hot coffee.  Caring and providing for her was ingrained in his purpose for many decades.  He also cherished teaching his great grandkids how to feed chickens and play pool.

Boe is survived by his son, Terry Woodruff and wife Beverly of Ecuador; son, DW Woodruff and wife Dolores of Woodward, OK;  grandchildren: Staci Woodruff of Colorado Springs, CO;  Tyler Woodruff and wife Leigh of Houston, TX, children Hayes, Miles, and Lorelei;  Chase Woodruff and wife Megan of Woodward, OK, children Tatum and Wyatt; Paige Blackhurst and husband Evan of Tulsa, OK, children Elle and Beckham; sister-in-law, Lynda Soder and husband Robert of Tulsa, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Rae; parents; brothers, Russell, Ray, Kenneth, Oscar; and sister, Bernice Reynolds.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
