October 22, 1971 ~ November 23, 2022 (age 51) 51 Years Old

Tribute

Timothy Clark Tucker passed away November 23, 2022, at his home in Norman Oklahoma.  He died unexpectedly, but peacefully.

Tim was born October 22, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas to Paul and Marlene Tucker.  He graduated from Berkner High School in 1990, and began his college education at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems.  While at OU, he met his true love Karmen Elaine Friend.  The couple quickly formed a formidable partnership.  Tim’s calm and steady nature combined with Karmen’s spontaneous and passionate spirit created a balanced and complimentary team.  They were married January 15, 1994.

Tim’s professional career in Information Technology was largely spent working for oil and gas companies Kerr McGee and Sandridge, and insurance company American Fidelity.  Tim was known as a valued worker and respected as a good manager and leader.  Outside work, Tim’s hobbies included reading, playing video games, studying history, exploring genealogy, and sitting in his recliner cuddling his pets.  He was a dedicated father and devoted husband who was always there for his family.  Tim also enjoyed traveling and spending significant time with extended family, developing many deep and enduring relationships with nieces and nephews.  Tim had the unique ability to make everyone feel like family.  He made it a priority to check in on people in his own unassuming way.  He was kind and caring, a source of wisdom and stability.  His calming voice of reason and reassurance was a steadfast comfort.  He was the quintessential stand-up guy.  Tim will be missed more than words can say.

Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Bird.  He is survived by his wife, Karmen Tucker of Norman; his children, Michael Tucker and Amanda Tucker, both of Norman, and Amanda’s significant other, Layne Thacker; his parents, Paul and Marlene Tucker; brother, Jeff Tucker; and brother-in-law, Eric Bird, all of Richardson, Texas; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Kristen and Richard Dillon and Kaylen and Jimmy Newbury, all of Norman; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider a donation to the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research and Information.
