Born in Big Spring Texas on September 19, 1980, to parents Joe and Judy (Ashlock) Harris. Travis Marshall Harris passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018. Travis grew up in Norman and Blackwell, Oklahoma graduating in 1999. While attending school in Blackwell, he was active in Boy Scouts attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Travis was very active in school, sports and church youth activities. He wrestled for the Blackwell Maroons and was a member of the 1999 State Championship Team. He also played varsity football.
While a junior in high school Travis joined the U.S. Army Reserves and spent the summer before his senior year of high school in Basic Training at Ft. Sill. He was the 381st Personnel Battalion Soldier of the Year receiving the Army Achievement Medal in 2000. After graduating from High School he joined the regular Army serving at Ft. Hood, Texas.
Travis spent his working career as a utility lineman working for various Utilities across Oklahoma and spent quite a bit of his time responding to natural disasters including the Hurricanes in Louisiana.
Travis loved being a Red Cross life guard and being around any aquatic activity. He passed that love along to his children.
Travis is survived by his three children; Sage, Cadence and Trinity, his parents Joe and Judy and by his brother Micah.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma at 1:00 p.m.
